Why we built this
We learned to dance. Then we found the people.
We did not grow up dancing. We learned salsa in a small studio in Connecticut and it changed our lives. Then we found the community. The socials, the DJs, the instructors, the late nights.
Latin Takeover is that feeling on a shirt. Clothes you can actually dance in, made by two people who are on the floor every week.
Meet the founders
Merceades and Nate
Merceades is Puerto Rican, the cultural heart of the brand, and she approves every word we print. She also runs Go N' Wander, the travel agency behind the cruise. Nate came in with zero dance background, learned salsa in five months and never looked back.
We met at a coffee shop in Shelton, Connecticut. Now we build this together, in public, one drop at a time.

What is Latin Takeover?
Latin Takeover is a Latin dance streetwear brand from New York City. We make clothes for people who dance salsa, bachata and reggaeton, and we host the Latin Takeover cruise, a 5 night Latin dance cruise from NYC to Bermuda.
What does Latin Takeover sell?
Oversized graphic tees, fitted crop tops and heavyweight fleece crewneck sweatshirts. Designs like Bebesita, Latina Mami, Dembow, Perreo, Dímelo and Sensual. Sizes S to 2XL on most pieces. New drops land all the time.
How do the sizes fit?
Most tees and crews run oversized with a drop shoulder. Our model Mari is 5'6" and wears a size S. Our model Leo is 6'1" and wears a size L. Crop tops are fitted and true to size. Every product page has a size guide.
How fast does it ship and what does shipping cost?
Every piece is made to order in 3 to 7 business days, then ships from the USA in 3 to 7 more, so plan on 6 to 14 business days. Shipping is free on orders over $100. You get a tracking number by email the moment it leaves.
Can I return or exchange?
Because every piece is made to order, we cannot take returns for size or change of mind. If your item arrives damaged, defective or misprinted, email us within 7 days of delivery with a photo and we will send a free replacement.
